Live- Bariatric surgery Webcast on "OR-Live" !

     On November 7th, at 6:00 p.m., a live Webcast took place profiling an actual Laparoscopic Gastric Bypass procedure, performed by Dr. Lou DiMarco, the founder of the Bariatric program and The Weight Loss Clinic in Harrisburg, PA.

     We are very pleased to announce that The Weight Loss Clinic has been approved as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence, in conjunction with the Surgeons and Pinnacle Health / Community General Hospital!

     This achievement comes after many months of hard work and excellent outcomes with Bariatric Surgery. As a reminder, we are also accredited by the National Blue Cross / Blue shield organization and HealthAmerica as a Center of Excellence or Center of Distinction.

 

       We are pleased to announce a new self-Pay discount for those patients interested in the Lap-Band (trademark of Inamed Corp.) product. We have arranged a discount with Pinnacle Health System, the surgeons and the Anesthesiologist to allow a very reasonable cost that includes the first "adjustment" in our office! For those who were considering going to Mexico or Brazil for the Lap-Band, this new pricing option is extrememly competitive.

     We have also partnered with CareCredit, a division of General Electric Finance Company, to offer financing capability for these services. This places the Lap Band product and our professional services well within the reach of the average patient.

     (Of course, adequate work-up prior to the surgery must be done in conjunction with good medical care and any related insurance requirements. Pre-operative services will be additional to determine if you are a good candidate for this service.)

     ... has announced new coverage guidelines for Bariatric surgery. The policy includes coverage for the Lap-Band product. Please consult with your insurance advisor or Personnel department if you have Aetna health insurance and are interested in weight loss surgery.
